Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a watermark to a PDF?

Choose your PDF, enter watermark text or add a PNG/JPG logo, then select placement, size and opacity. Apply the watermark and download the PDF. The chosen stamp is placed on every page.

Is this a digital signature or redaction tool?

No. Watermarks add visible content; they do not certify a document, prevent editing, or hide underlying information.

What files and text are supported?

Use an unencrypted PDF up to 30 MiB and 500 pages. An optional PNG/JPG logo must be at most 30 MiB and 16 megapixels. Text supports up to 120 basic Latin letters, numbers, and punctuation.

Can I add only a logo or page numbers?

Yes. For a logo alone, clear the text and choose a PNG/JPG logo. For page numbers alone, clear the text, omit the logo and enable page numbers. Numbering appears at the bottom center as current page / total pages.

Are my files uploaded?

Yes. Applying the watermark uploads the PDF and optional logo to the server. Files are temporary; download the finished PDF promptly.

Can I watermark only selected pages?

This tool applies the same watermark to every page of the uploaded PDF. It does not offer a page-range selector. Page numbers, when enabled, run sequentially through the uploaded document.

How do I make a three-page DRAFT review copy?

Choose the PDF, enter DRAFT, select center placement, use opacity 0.25 and text size 48 pt, and enable page numbers. Apply the watermark and download it. A checked three-page sample kept its original page sizes and rotations, added DRAFT on each page and added 1 / 3, 2 / 3 and 3 / 3 at the bottom. Review all pages, especially rotated or densely printed pages.

Should I add a watermark before annotating the PDF?

For a review copy, stamp the PDF first, download it, then open that result in PDF Annotator to add page-specific notes and highlights. Keep the untouched original separately and check the final combined document. Watermarks apply to every page; annotations can target individual pages. Neither operation securely redacts content, prevents editing or creates a certificate-based digital signature.
