Frequently Asked Questions

Will it look exactly like the original Word document?

Not necessarily. LibreOffice renders the file, and fonts or unsupported document features can change the layout. Compare the PDF with the source.

Are older DOC files supported?

Yes. Both DOCX and DOC are declared input formats. A valid, compatible file is still required.

Can I provide a password?

There is no password input or supported unlocking workflow. Upload an unencrypted document.

Is the PDF automatically certified PDF/A?

No. The converter uses standard PDF export without a PDF/A selector or archival validation. Use a dedicated workflow when archival compliance is required.

Can I turn the PDF back into editable Word?

PDF to Word can create an editable draft from a text-based PDF, but conversion does not guarantee an exact round trip.

What is the upload limit?

The default limit is 20 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.

Where are files processed and when are they removed?

This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
