Frequently Asked Questions

How do I copy text from an image?

Upload a clear PNG, JPG or WebP image, select English, Arabic or English + Arabic, then run OCR. Download the TXT file and correct recognition errors before reusing the text.

Does OCR preserve formatting?

The result is plain text, with page separators for PDFs. It does not preserve document layout, tables, fonts or images.

What limits apply?

Upload one file up to 20 MiB. Images must be at most 16 megapixels. PDFs may contain up to 10 pages, each at most 16 megapixels when rendered at 150 DPI. Processing has a two-minute deadline.

Can it read handwriting or blurry photos?

Clear, upright printed text works best. Handwriting, blur, skew and complex layouts may produce errors or no text. Check the output and select the correct language.

Where are files processed?

The image or PDF is uploaded to the platform server for recognition. Files are temporary; download the UTF-8 TXT result promptly. This tool does not run OCR locally in your browser.

Can I extract Arabic text or a scanned PDF?

Yes. Select Arabic for Arabic printed text or English + Arabic for mixed text. PDFs can contain up to 10 pages and must be unencrypted. The output is plain text in page order, not a searchable or edited PDF.
