Frequently Asked Questions
What does a custom range produce?
A custom range selects pages, and each selected page becomes its own PDF. For example, 1-3 creates three one-page PDFs. Use the Every N Pages mode to create grouped sections.
Can I keep consecutive pages together?
Choose Every N Pages and enter a group size. The last group can contain fewer pages. Custom range mode does not combine a selected range into one document.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Use an unencrypted PDF. There is no password input, unlocking step, or setting to retain source encryption.
Does splitting compress the pages?
No compression preset is applied. The pages are copied into new PDF documents; keep the original and test any document features you need.
What is the upload limit?
The default limit is 100 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.
Where are files processed and when are they removed?
This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
