Simple Markdown heuristics
Short lines and list markers are used to infer basic headings and lists. The result is a draft, not an exact reconstruction of PDF layout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this preserve tables, images, or links?
This processor works from extracted text. It does not export embedded images or reconstruct tables, hyperlink targets, or complex page layout.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
Use a PDF with selectable text. For scanned documents, Image to Text can extract plain text first; you can then format that text as Markdown.
Why are some lines turned into headings?
Heading detection uses text heuristics such as capitalization, length, and neighboring lines. Review and edit incorrect heading levels.
Are page separators always available?
Separators depend on page-break markers in the extracted text. PDF text extraction does not always supply reliable page boundaries.
Can I preview or publish the Markdown as another format?
Use Markdown to PDF or Markdown to Word to edit a Markdown draft and create another document format.
What is the upload limit?
The default limit is 20 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.
Where are files processed and when are they removed?
This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
