Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make an animated GIF from pictures?
Add 2–20 still images, then arrange them in the file list. Every image becomes one frame. Choose the canvas size, one delay for all frames, a play count and a background, then convert and download the GIF.
Which GIF tool should I use?
Use this page for separate still images. GIF Creator converts one still image to a single-frame GIF. Sprite Sheet to GIF extracts frames from one image grid, and Video to GIF trims a video clip.
Will transparent images stay transparent?
No. Transparent pixels and any padding are flattened onto the selected white or black background.
Can every frame have a different duration?
The current tool applies the same delay to all frames. GIF timing is stored in 10-millisecond units, so enter a multiple of 10.
What are the limits?
Upload 2–20 images, up to 10 MiB each and 100 MiB combined. Each input may contain at most 24 million pixels, with 100 million source pixels in total. GIF dimensions are limited to 1024 pixels per side and 8 million output pixels across all frames. Encoding stops after 60 seconds.
What does the play count mean?
Loop forever repeats indefinitely. Play once shows the sequence once; twice and three times are total play counts. This tool uses the same frame delay throughout the animation.
Are the images processed locally?
No. Conversion uploads the selected images to the server. Animated or multiple-page inputs are rejected. Output files are temporary; download your GIF promptly.
