Frequently Asked Questions
Which uploads are accepted?
The upload area accepts HEIC, HEIF, AVCI, and AVCS extensions. A file must also be readable by the installed HEIC decoder; the extension alone does not establish compatibility.
Does this preserve Live Photos or multiple images?
The converter produces one image. It does not export a Live Photo video, depth data, or every image from a multi-image container.
Is PNG output guaranteed to preserve every source color?
No. This implementation applies the quality setting to PNG palette encoding, which can alter colors. JPG and WebP also use lossy encoding. Keep the source if you need the complete original.
What happens to transparency and metadata?
JPG output fills transparent areas with white. PNG or WebP can retain existing alpha transparency. Camera metadata and container features are not guaranteed to carry over.
What is the upload limit?
The default limit is 30 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.
Where are files processed and when are they removed?
This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
