Frequently Asked Questions
Does it preserve layers or re-render every Photoshop feature?
No. It reads the saved composite image rather than reproducing every layer, smart object, effect, or font. The output has no editable layers.
Can I convert a PSB or any PSD variant?
The accepted extension is PSD. Compatibility depends on the installed PSD decoder; some color modes, bit depths, or unsupported files can fail. PSB is not an accepted upload format.
Will transparency survive?
PNG and WebP can keep existing alpha transparency in the decoded composite. JPG fills transparent areas with white.
Is quality 100 a lossless guarantee?
No. JPG and WebP use lossy settings, and PNG quality can select palette encoding. Keep the original PSD and review the exported image.
What is the upload limit?
The default limit is 100 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.
Where are files processed and when are they removed?
This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
How can I check a PSD-to-PNG transparency export?
Save a PSD with a current composite, choose PNG and convert it. In a checked 128 × 64 RGB/8 sample with an opaque red half and a transparent half, the PNG remained 128 × 64 with transparency. The same sample exported to JPG filled the transparent half with white. Compare your download against the saved composite; keep the original PSD for future edits.
Why does the result look stale, lack layers or fail to open?
The converter uses the composite saved inside the PSD rather than re-rendering every Photoshop layer, effect or font. Save the latest composite in the source editor and upload that file again if it looks stale. The output is one flat raster image. Unsupported PSD variants can fail; export a standard raster copy from your editor if this decoder cannot read the file. For transparency, start with PNG or WebP and inspect the result.
