Does this convert TIFF to JPG or PNG?
No. Use Image Converter to upload TIFF or TIF and choose JPG or PNG output.
Can I create a multipage TIFF?
No. This tool converts one image to one TIFF page; it does not assemble several images into a multipage file.
What does a PNG to TIFF example look like?
We converted a 1200 × 800 PNG graphic with opaque colors, a transparent border, and a semitransparent band. LZW produced 62,970 bytes, Deflate 37,430 bytes, and no compression 3,840,270 bytes. All three TIFFs contained one 1200 × 800 page and decoded to the same pixels, including alpha. The source PNG was 29,373 bytes, so even the compressed TIFFs were larger. These are measurements for that graphic; compare your own result instead of expecting a fixed size reduction.
Will transparency and print dimensions be preserved?
The checked PNG kept its transparent and semitransparent regions in all three TIFF modes. This does not remove a background from an opaque image. Open the result in an application that supports TIFF transparency to inspect it. This page has no resize or print-resolution control: confirm the pixel dimensions and desired physical print size in your destination application. Use Image Editor first if you need different pixel dimensions.
Does the quality setting change LZW or Deflate output?
The available LZW, Deflate, and uncompressed modes do not use JPEG-style quality to reduce file size. In the same PNG example, quality 80, 90, and 100 produced identical files within each compression mode. Choose the compression method for this workflow; raising quality does not add detail or change these modes.
Does TIFF recover detail lost in a JPEG?
No. Conversion cannot restore information removed by earlier source compression. Keep your original image and review the TIFF in your target application.
What is the upload limit?
The default limit is 30 MiB for one file. Check the upload area for the current limit. The server upload ceiling is 100 MiB per file; file complexity and processing time can also limit conversion.
Where are files processed and when are they removed?
This tool uploads files to Zutilium's server for processing. After a successful conversion, uploads are scheduled for deletion after about one minute and generated downloads after about ten minutes. Cleanup runs periodically, so removal is not immediate. Save your result promptly.
